God, Me, and a Change of Heart
“The whole course of human history may depend on a change of heart in one solitary and even humble individual – for it is in the solitary mind and soul of the individual that the battle between good and evil is waged and ultimately won or lost.” M. Scott Peck, author of The Road Less Travelled
A “change of heart” means a person has experienced a reversal of attitude, belief, decision, or feelings. Above all else, God wants us to have a change of heart. Our natural inclination is to trust in ourselves and to have our own way. He says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
